Art College Metal Work
These are a couple of projects I made during my National Diploma at Hereford College of Art;
The first is a set of Hot Air Balloons made from copper, I built these to sell at some sort of craft fair that was going on at the time, unfortunately I never got round to actually selling them. These are each aprox 10 cm tall and made copper sheet.
The next piece was also made at Hereford, a miniature Gramophone. This was not based on any particular model and again is made out of copper sheet and measures at roughly 10x 10 x 10cm.
Work form Uni
Now moving onto my work at The University of Hertfordshire, the first piece is from my second year. The idea for this came from the classic image of the living severed hand that is in so many films; Thing in the Addams Family to Ash's possessed Hand in The Evil Dead. So i built a silicone skin Stop Motion Puppet.
Above: These are some close ups of the Steel and Aluminum armature I built for the stop motion puppet.
Above: This is the Chavant sculpt, this was molded in plaster.
Above: This was my first attempt at painting silicone, the job was done using brushes and sponges.
...And thats all for now I'll post the Sperm Whale Model whenever i get round to it.
